I brought this dish to the potluck and everyone was all over it!

What is needed

dried thyme, 1 teaspoon

1.5 milligrams of dried sage

Toss with salt and pepper.

1 defrosted box of puff pastry 1 beaten egg for the egg wash

How to Follow

1. Let the oven heat up to 375°F, or 190°C.

2. In a pan set over medium heat, add the chopped garlic and onion to the heated olive oil. After around 5 minutes of cooking, they should be tender and transparent.

Third, break up the pork sausage with a spoon before adding it to the skillet. Sear till golden brown. Once combined, add the sage, salt, pepper, thyme, and salt. Take the pan off the heat and allow it to cool for a little.

Fourth, dust a surface with a little flour and roll out the puff pastry. Make rectangles measuring about 5 by 3 inches each.

5. Split the sausage mixture in half and put a little on each end of the pastry rectangles.

6. Apply a little amount of beaten egg to seal the dough, then roll it over the sausage, being sure to tuck in the ends.

Step7: Arrange the rolls, seam side down, on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Turn the rolls a golden shade by brushing them with the leftover beaten egg.

9. Puff them up and bake them for 25-30 minutes in a preheated oven, or until they become golden brown.

10. Allow them to cool for a little before you eat them.

Changes and Hints

To make the sausage combination more spicier, you may add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes. You may change things up by using ground turkey or beef instead of pork if you desire. Garnish the sausage with shredded cheddar or mozzarella before spreading out the dough for a delicious treat.

ENJOY!
